Ijeamaka is from the Windy City of Chicago. She received her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a JD/MBA focused on international business and human rights. For the summer she will be working in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse and in Banking, Finance & Major Projects Law at Baker & McKenzie LLP. Prior to NYU, Ijeamaka taught sixth grade math as a Teach for America Corps Member in Houston, TX. While teaching, she co-founded a social enterprise, Black Girls Graduate, which focuses on educational attainment and professionalism among women of color. She enjoys travel, reading and introducing people to deep dish pizza.
