Jessie grew up just outside of Boston and graduated from Amherst College in 2015 with majors in economics and environmental studies. Prior to Stern, she spent two years working in Cape Town, South Africa. There, she worked for a social enterprise that looked at ways to use basic cellphones and smartphones to help monitor water infrastructure in developing countries. Currently, Jessie is a dual-degree student with Wagner School of Public Service. In her free time, Jessie likes to run, people-watch, and engage in conversations about toilets (particularly the demand, and lack there of, for this amenity).
